This course looks at the changes which took place in Britain between the end of Roman rule in AD410 and the Norman Conquest in 1066. It will look at the migration of tribes from Northern Europe, the coming of Christianity under Stationary Augustine, the development of towns, the coming of the Vikings and the unification of England as a single kingdom. The course will consist of six taught classes and one museum visit.
