Introduction to the History of London Medieval & Tudor London

This course will look at the history of London from the late Anglo Saxon period until about 1600. A wide range of topics will be covered including the development of the City and of Westminster, royal palaces, churches & religious houses, markets & trade and everyday life. Contemporary sources will be used as much as possible and the course will be illustrated with slides, drawings and maps.
