Certificate in Education leading to QTLS

All new teacher/trainers working in the post 16 sector are expected to be working towards the new award of 'Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills' (QTLS). These reforms embrace teacher training across the whole of the learning and skills sector; trainers in work-based learning, tutors in adult and community learning and lecturers/teachers in FE colleges.

The College will be offering courses leading to the DTLLS Certificate in Education which in turn can lead to QTLS.

For information please contact Rosie Eaglen on 020 8269 8940.

For those who already hold the 7407 Certificate in FE Teaching Stage 1 or 7407 Stages 1 and 2 please contact Rosie Eaglen for details of progression courses to the full Certificate in Education.

Having completed the DTLLS Certificate in Education teachers will have 5 years to acquire QTLS. Before acquiring QTLS teachers will be required to be at Level 2 in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT. If you would like information about courses leading to Level 2 in these areas or an assessment in Literacy and Numeracy to find out your current level, please contact:
